Our client is 1,000+ hectare certified organic estate in New Zealand is developing an intelligent AI interface capable of seamless and natural human interaction, designed for intuitive and engaging experiences. We are seeking full-time candidates willing to relocate to New Zealand (visa sponsorship and relocation support provided).

As a Lead AI Engineer, you will oversee and drive the development of our AI product. This role requires expertise in AI/ML,natural language processing (NLP), chatbot development, and AI voicegeneration. You will manage and mentor a small team of engineers, provide strategic direction, and ensure the delivery of innovative, high-quality AI solutions.

Main Tasks and Duties:

• Leadership: Provide technical  leadership and vision to guide the development and implementation of AI projects.
• Team Management: Mentor, manage, and oversee a small team of AI/ML engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• AI Model Development: Design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge AI models, including advanced neural networks and machine learning algorithms.
• NLP & Chatbot Expertise: Lead the creation and refinement of NLP components (language understanding, generation, and dialogue systems) to power advanced chatbot solutions.
• AI Voice Technology: Spearhead the integration of text-to-speech and AI voice generation technologies for enhanced user interactivity.
• Data Strategy: Develop strategies for data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to ensure AI models are trained with high-quality datasets.
• Project Oversight: Ensure project timelines, deliverables, and objectives are met while maintaining technical excellence.

Required Skills:

• Advanced AI/ML Knowledge: Expertise in machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and AI model optimization.
• NLP Mastery: Deep knowledge of NLP techniques, including sentiment analysis, language generation, and conversational AI.
• Proven Chatbot Development: Extensive experience designing and deploying chatbot systems for production environments.
• AI Voice Systems Expertise: Proficiency in text-to-speech and AI voice generation technologies.
• Programming Proficiency: Advanced programming skills in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to address complex AI challenges creatively.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering production-grade AI models and solutions.
