Vadym Lobariev, founder of MindHunt, began his career in IT recruitment in 2005. His first search was for a Senior C# Developer, and the requirements were 2+ years of experience with C# or 5+ years of experience with C++.
He had only been working in recruiting for one month and knew very little about the field.He decided to buy and read the book “Visual C++ for Dummies.”
Why?
Because he wanted to better understand the nature of the vacancy he needed to fill and the work of the people who held such roles, aiming to communicate with them as effectively as possible.
Of course, this didn't turn him into a software programmer, but it did allow him to gain a better understanding of what software programmers do.
Nevertheless, he struggled to fill vacancies. Finding suitable candidates, piquing their interest in the opportunities, and properly qualifying them proved challenging.
Consequently, he dedicated himself to learning various recruiting strategies and techniques from leading recruiters worldwide. He read books, took training courses, and then tested his newfound knowledge in real-world scenarios to see what worked.
His recruiting results steadily improved, and he eventually developed a highly effective recruiting system that consistently delivered excellent results.
In 2011, Vadym founded MindHunt and shared his system with the new recruiters who joined his team.
Since then, MindHunt has partnered with clients from the USA, Europe, and Australia, filling vacancies at various levels—including mid-level, senior, lead, manager, and C-level—in software engineering, operations, finance, legal, sales, and marketing across Ukraine, Europe, the Philippines, and other regions.
Today we work with companies from different regions and help them recruit candidates for full-time, office, hybrid or remote jobs.
